I am so proud of this guy! David Archuleta— rather, Elder Archuleta, is taking a break from his career to serve a full-time mission.
He’s following what he knows to be true and leaving behind his temporal treasures for treasures in Heaven. He’s sharing that spark, happiness and sweetness he holds within himself to those who he’ll be teaching on his mission.
Archuleta is using the attention he’s receiving from people all over the world for GOOD— he’s inspiring those who are weak in spirit to be better Christians and better people in general.

For those who are upset of the fact that he’s leaving— I encourage you to read the Book of Mormon and pray to your Father in Heaven. He’ll tell you it’s true and you will finally understand WHY he’s going, why he’s putting so much at stake, why there was ‘no planning’, why he cried when the crowd cheered and you’ll actually encourage him to go.
The gospel of Christ brings the most amazing happiness, peace and love into your life and once you understand it and once you see the blessings in your life, you naturally want to share it with all humanity.
Good luck on your mission, Archuleta! I pray it’s a safe, spiritual and righteously successful mission. (:
